Breaking Bad Series 5 Predictions & Episode List

These are the remaining episodes of Breaking Bad 5.2, following 'Confessions', with the episode title and my predictions/thoughts.

Confessions: Jesse finds out about Walt poisoning Brock.

Rabid Dog: Like that of ‘Problem Dog’, instead of struggling with guilt over killing Gale, Jesse is now consumed and struggling with his rage knowing about the poison, Brock and Walt’s deceit.

Tohajiilee: This refers to the Tohajiilee Indian Reservation, an area in the dessert of New Mexico where Walt buried his money and has the coordinates on a lottery ticket on his fridge. Maybe he goes to collect it, maybe it has gone, he loses the ticket, or he has a confrontation with Todd’s group of Mexicans (most likely).

Ozymandias: Named after the poem by Percy Shelly, it depicts the story of a statue of a dead ruler and great tyrant, that has fallen and is crumbled in the sand. His face wears a sneer and a frown "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone/ Stand in the desert". The sculptor has caught the subject's "frown/ And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command" and on the pedestal is written "My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works ye Mighty and despair". It portrays that the powerful ones will eventually fall, regardless of how mighty they how. I think this will be the turning episode, he will be found out and backed into a corner, commencing Walt’s escape and identity change (seen start of series 5).

Granite State: Literal meaning, a nickname for New Hampshire. At the start of series 5 we see Walt with a New Hampshire I.D card, getting hold of mass weapons. Following last weeks dramatic scenes, Walt is preparing for the finale battle whilst the rest of family deal with the aftermath - including a death I predict. Maybe that of Walt Jr. (I say this as I believe Walter White/Walter White Jr has to play some role in the names being confused and mistaken identity leading the Mexicans to kill W.J instead of Walt.)

Felina: The finale episode. An anagram of ‘Finale’. But also refers to the song ‘El Paso’ by Marty Robbins, perhaps offering up a hint of an escape to New Mexico for Walt. Either way, dead or alive, there will be an almighty showdown (hence the machine gun), most likely with Todd’s group of Mexicans. Then afterwards, a showdown with Hank in the dessert. If anyone kills Walt it will be Hank (although I don’t think he would). Walt may kill Hank, and then take his own life to signal the end of things. Or perhaps Marie is so pissed off still that she does it for Hank. I love Hank, but I don’t think he would be able to live with actually killing Walt himself - so either they both die, or Walt’s death is at the hands of another or himself.

I haven't covered everything as these are initial thoughts, I may add more every week. Hope you enjoyed my theories, let me know your own ideas.

UPDATE 02/09: Marie buys the untraceable poison in an attempt to kill Walt, but ends up poisoning Hank or Skyler. Potentially framing Walt - and Walt escaping to New Hampshire.

Walt fakes his own death before coming back in 'Felina'.

UPDATE 09/09: Hank will be killed in the gun fight with the nazi uncles and Walt will have to witness this.

Marie will then 'out' Walt, taking the confession recording to the DEA and brandishing 'Heisenberg' across Walt's house/walls (as seen in fast forward clip) and hence the shock of neighbour Carol at his return.

Todd may also get killed, and the nazis will take Walt and Jesse, forcing them to cook meth again. Walt escapes and comes back, machine gun ready, to save Jesse (who they have hostage to cook) OR to end them once and for all as payback for killing Hank and humiliating his work as Heinsenberg.

Walt will be overwhelmed with guilt for all the murders and deaths that came by his hand this week, and there will be some kind of flashback/though provoking scenes inc. Jane, Mike etc.

Skyler may still die, hence Walt taking her maiden name as a sign on grief. I'm swaying more towards her being alive at the end and coming out on top with the money/kids and starting a new life with a new name.

NEW

UPDATE 21/09: With Walt in New Hampshire, new will spread in the local media and press about him being a murderer/drug lord/and attacking his family etc. This will lead to his house being touched and 'Heisenberg' being brandished on the walls.

Skyler and Walt Jr will go to stay at Marie's as she is grieving, and there will be a funeral for Hank. Unaware to them, Todd's nazi uncle and co will come looking for Jesse's confession tape. Skyler, Marie and Walt Jr will all be killed by them. As for Holly, she won't be returned to Skyler in time so she will most likely be safe (these episodes are happening really fast remember).

Walt will get word of the planned attack on his family (from Saul), and will get hold of the machine gun to go back to get revenge on the nazis for Hank/taking his money and protect his them. He will be too late, and will seek go to kill Jack and co in the finale.

After killing Jack and his gang, Walt and Jesse will have a long awaited reconciliation, ending in Jesse killing Walt. If Skyler does escape this week, Walk will die in her arms and there will be an emotional close to their relationship.

The ricin is most likely for Lydia.

In the end credits, an 18 yr old girl will receive a key (from one of Saul's guys) to an $11 million fortune, with a photo of the White family and a message reading something along the lines of 'We are your family. Remember our names/Remember my name (if just Walt dead).
